Lake view in Halls Haven Holiday Units

We stayed here for our 5th Anniversary with our baby. We booked a one bedroom unit as we didn’t want a wood fire due to little hands. We are a cosleeping family and the bed was big and comfortable enough for all three of us, though the property does offer cots when booking. The room had bedding, towels (we packed one for our bub as we expected the room would be prepared for two people) & a fully stocked kitchen. The stove had a mini oven (our baby could reach the knobs and turn it on so we unplugged it when not in use to avoid any burnt curious fingers), there was everything you needed in the cupboards. Toilet is in with the bathroom and there was extra toilet paper in the cupboards, bin by the toilet, toilet brush and body wash, shampoo and conditioner in the shower (also a small wrapped soap at the sink if needed but you can easily use the one in the shower to reduce waste). They wash the kitchen cloths, sponges and tea towels to also reduce wastage and provided with earths choice dishwashing liquid. It was a wet weekend in August when we stayed but the property had lots to do especially with a little one that can’t really go hiking. They had a games room with a pool table, tv and DVDs, board games, basket ball game, ping pong, ride on cars/tractors, books, chess, lounges to sit on etc. they also had bikes that could be used to ride around the property. There is a tennis court, driving range, bbq facilities, swings, basket ball hoops, sandpit, slides, tunnels, and lots of other play equipment. The one bedroom studio doesn’t have a laundry but there is laundry facilities you can use on the property. There is a swimming pool and a paddling pool on the property, though we didn’t use these facilities as it was cold. The property also had some farm animals and wildlife, we saw Kangaroos, blue wrens (along with a number of other birds), emus and peacocks wandering freely around the property.

Clean comfortable unit with everything you would expect in terms of facilities. We loved the central lake which was visible from inside the unit with a constant parade of wildlife such as friendly fairywrens, herons eating yabbies, black cockatoos and redrumped parrots. Lots of kangaroos at dusk and the kid loved feeding the farm animals each morning. Kid enjoyed the pool also (there were a lot of bugs in it, but that's inevitable in a healthy ecosystem).

Lovely units with a very well equipt kitchen, it was very easy to cook our own meals. The area was fantastic - units looked onto a small lake. Shared laundry facilities were available. Staff were great and let us feed the animals. Theres a 5-10 minute drive to center of town, but this means there's extra space, peace and better views. If we go back to Halls Gap we will stay there again.

We stayed in one of their Tiny Houses and it was such a wonderful experience! Their Tiny House was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for a night’s stay — plus waking up to the stunning view of the mountains and seeing the animals in their sanctuary was pure bliss. Having Mr P the Peacock right greeting us at our doorstep was sucha pleasant surprise! The entire property was so peaceful and it was sucha great getaway from the city. I would stay here again if I’m ever revisiting the Grampians!

It was a beautiful, well built and well equipped cabin/apartment. We had everything we needed and it felt like a bit of luxury despite the great price. Lots of family activities on offer and the games room had a big selection of DVDs you could borrow and use in the unit. Run by a very friendly family. Really nice surroundings, close to Halls Gap where there was a well stocked grocery store, some places to eat/get coffee etc, really helpful guy at the info point, and some beautiful hikes. I love hiking in the winter as it's fresh and you don't get as sweaty, also fewer people on the trails. Loads of free parking in Halls Gap so it wasn't a problem being a few minutes drive away. We also visited some incredibly good value local open cellars.

Everything! A beautiful and modern tiny home at a great location with amazing facilities. We loved exploring the games room, playing tennis and cycling around the property as well. Wonderful host, very friendly, helpful and welcoming! No stovetop but we had the option of using a portable induction stove if needed.

The property is surrounded by nature. The kangaroos roam freely, peacock, birds, insects, frogs, etc can be heard throughout the day. The cabin is so nicely decorated, extremely clean and neat. The owner, Chris, is so thoughtful. She turned on the lights and heater because we will be arriving late at night. She even told us to park the car in front of the door so that we could quickly settle in and rest even though the lots are situated at the back of the units. Electric blankets was another thoughtful gesture of Chris. I’m truly thankful for that in a cold weather. There is feeding of farm animals in the morning which I sadly missed. Chris would shared with us the places to visit at Grampians and guided us from the map. Really thankful for her kindness and thoughtfulness.

The units were comfortable, sound proof walls, beautiful grounds with pond and fountain. Daily feeding of farm animals on property. There is a mob of kangaroos and pretty faced wallabies that surround the units and property in the evenings. They have numerous ducks that enjoy their pond. There is a resident peacock that is very curious of guests. The location is very convenient to Halls gap, however not right in the middle of all the activity and people. The views and quietness of the property is excellent. I would stay here again and recommend to other travelers.

This place was purely magical! The whole property is so beautiful and there are animals and kangaroos all around. This means you can sit outside at night watch the stars, drink a beer, and will occasionally see a kangaroo hopping by. In addition, there are a lot of amazing facilities, such as a tennis court an amazing outdoor kitchen, and a bonfire area. The apartment itself was also amazing - very clean, smelled very nice and the beds were super comfortable. I would stay here again any time!

Nice to have a separate lounge/kitchen from bedroom. Comfortable bed and good kitchen facilities. Bonus to have outdoor seating area with fabulous view over the lake. Peacocks and kangaroos right outside our unit. Opportunity to feed alpacas, goats, cows and chickens so great for kids. Also a golf driving range and lots of open spaces. Quiet and peaceful base for a couple of days and excellent value for money
